Capture one

If you prefer to shoot your photographs in RAW (not RAW+JPEG) rather than JPEG, you need to use ZoomBrowser, Photoshop, Lightroom or other tools of choice to convert your images to JPEG. If you’ve ever wondered “there must be an easier way”, well there is. Best of all it’s a free utility that you can install on your PC or MAC, that integrates into your context menu.

This utility is called “Instant JPEG from RAW” and is available from Rawworkflow.com. To get this utility simply fill in the online form and you will be emailed the links to download the files for your suitable system. Download, install and you are ready to go. Just select the photos you wish to convert from RAW to JPEG and right click and select “Instant JPEG from RAW”. The dialog window also lets you select and specify the size of the final JPEG, so if you are creating the JPEG to email or upload to sites like Facebook or Orkut you can already select a smaller size like 600px or 800px to make your uploads faster.
