Canon IXUS 300 HS a very powerful and easy to use compact camera. This is Canon’s newest compact camera with 10 Megapixel resolution, 3.8x Optical zoom and a the biggest f-stop 2.0 ever seen in a compact camera.
The build quality is also fantastic as its a very solid and firm camera in hand. The weight is certainly noticeable when compared to any other camera, we compared it to the Sony W380. The IXUS 300 HS comes with very intuitive menu controls a jog dial on the back to navigate through menus. The f-stop of 2.0 makes it the fastest glass in compact cameras, which results in great photos in low light conditions without using flash. Ideal for indoors use at parties and functions.
The camera has built in Optical image stabilisation to counter any camera shake when pressing the shutter. The solid build also makes it easy to stabilise the camera in your hand. It shoots 720p HD videos but is limited to a 10Minute clip, not sure why but possibly due to FAT partitions only supporting upto 2GB files.
