Aurora HDR 2019 vs 2018
Subscribe In this video I will compare the key differences in the results of the same image edited in Aurora HDR 2019 vs Aurora HDR 2018. To keep the comparison fair, I applied the same settings in both of the software. One of the biggest improvements I can see is due to the Quantum HDR Engine the processing is much cleaner and the transition from bright areas to darker areas is very more pleasing. There is hardly any noise in the final HDR produced. Nor there is any kind of haloing around the edges. The latest version also brings in the LUT support which was introduced in Luminar...

Moving to Drobo 5N2 from External Drives
It was finally time to move from External USB storage drives to a multi-disk redundant system that would allow me to ensure my data is secure. So far my external drives were backed up to CrashPlan using their Family Home plan (which is no longer available & obsolete as of August 2018). Decisions? Decisions! There are many other solutions in this space that are designed to give you the redundancy and safely when it comes to your data whether it be photos, videos or documents. Reason why I went with Drobo is because its simple non-tech UX (User experience). You simply install the drives,...
FujiXAus Experimental Lighting Meet
On Saturday 11th August, there was a meet up organised by the Sydney crew of FujiXAus Facebook Group and luckily I was able to attend this event. The event was about Experimental Lighting outdoors using small and big lights. Couple of the group members who old lights and understand how to use them came with their gear and shared some lighting techniques and setups with the rest of us. Everyone got a chance to take some shots with their camera and few of the members including myself were keen to model for the occasion. The meet went for about 4 hours before we packed up our gear to...
